Usually if it's not throwing codes it's a wiring fault. Some are easy to trace down, other are not.Don't know how your manual is set up but should have a section on the speedo display and tests on it's harness connector pins that may help you track down the problem.

Just for chits and giggles, check the battery voltage. Low voltage can cause fits with efi.

Try disconnecting the battery for a minute or so and hook it back up and see if the speedo clears.

Then possible it's an internal speedo problem. Only way to tell for sure is if the dealer has the software that can check out the system. May be worth the trip versus hunting for a short or checking though all the connections not knowing what you're looking for.

The speedo is new with 130 miles on it.

Doesn't mean it can't be faulty even if new,but there should at least be something in your manual on the efi system that might help you trace down the problem whether it's a relay or breaker of some sort, bad connection or it should show how to check the pressure on the fuel pump along with checking voltage to the fuel injector. If the gauge is ok,something is triggering the efi light.
