brake reservoir leaking

Default brake reservoir leaking

i got a new reservoir for my 2000 arctic cat 300 and it's leaking the fluid, it's as tight as it'll go and i don't know what to do now, please help

were is it leaking fluid from? The lid and gasket have a little breather hole and if you over fill it will force some fluid out

it's leaking from the bottom of the resivior

There is a tiny piston that is pushed by the lever. If it's leaking there, you should be able to buy a rebuild kit from Arctic Cat. Mine was actually breaking down, filling the system full of black rubber specks. Flushed all the old fluid our, put the rebuild kit on, now brakes are awesome. Be very careful of the black "bladder" on top, as they may not be available anymore. Worst case, you can probably find the same unit on eBay.

Tighten the screws holding the reservoir onto the body. If it still leaks then the rubber o-ring or gasket may be pinched at the bottom of the bowl.

Im assuming that you purchased a new one because the old was doing the same thing? Could be a possibility you have a line blocked or brakes are frozen causing the reservoir to push the fluid out since it has no ware to go
