dvx 400-wiesco 453 big bore kit
I was wondering if any of you have had any experience with this kit in particular. I recently purchased a dvx and i'm trying to get some more out of the quad, its already piped, jetted, and intake modded- but i realy want to be competative with the 450's that are runnin. Does any one know what kind of power gains these kits provide, if they are reliable and possibly what else should be upgraded when this kit is installed? I also own a banshee that is piped, jetted, and intake mod- and it just flat out spanks my dvx, I know they are two completley different bikes but I really like the cat and want to keep up with or pull on some 450's. Thanx for any help or advice.

I dont know much about the dvx but i do know that once you bore one out so big it becomes un reliable. But if you really want to wake up your quad, get the big bore and go for a stoker crank, and a high performance cam. If you have enough money even go for a new carb. Thats really going to put out the power, but youll have to watch I dont know how long something like that will last.

I have a friend with a 05 kfx 400 who just installed a 13.5:1 piston and stage 2 hotcams. His is real quick and will give a piped and jetted 450r a spankin and run a yfz really hard. Also have a friend with a raptor with 11:1 piston and stage 2 hotcams. The kfx pulls the raptor out of the hole but the raptor catches and passes it at around 125-150 yards. Just to let you know you may not need a 453 kit to get the performance you want.

I took out the dvx today and my friend just picked up a bone stock banshee and I was able to actually pull on it, I was quite suprised- I didn't think it woould keep with or actually pull away and it did. Even though my bikes modded it still felt good to pull on a banshee stock or not.

This is known to me, I own a modded shee as stated in my first post. I agree with some $$$ they are very hard to run with. I guess i just didnt realize how much just pipes, jets, and intake would add. My shee spanks my dvx and i really didnt think there would be that huge of a difference between stock and my own.
