Default Big Sale going on at Arctic Cat

Manufacturer sales news is rarely press worthy but Arctic Cat is blowing out brand new 2015s for some heavy savings!

Some examples? New XR 550 XT normally $9,699 for $5,399. The normally $11,599 Mudpro 700 LTD EPS is now $6,499 and the $12,000 Wild Cat Trail is $7,499.

Wow, I'd consider one if I was in the market at those prices.

I would like to be in the room when the decision was made to sell off inventory at these prices. I hope it isn't a bad sign for Arctic Cat. They were just purchased by that large conglomerate out east, whose name escapes me, begins with a T?. they should plan on investing in Arctic Cat products so customers are willing to pay a premium for them.

Textron that is, they also bought bad boy buggies. The way I read this is that the discounts are on old stock, leftover 2015 and 2016 models. I have a local Artic Cat dealer nearby and they have been discounting their old stock for months now. You can buy a new Alterra 450 atv for $4500, for example. Unfortunately, I don't think they have any old stock Wildcat Trail models, that's quite a deal on that one. They're selling those for about $10500 for base model, that would be a $3000 discount over that. Its a dealer that sells also Kawasaki, Yamaha, and Suzuki. So the Arctic Cat models have to be priced competitively or the customers will just buy one of the other brands instead. The Wildcat trail(and Sport) being models the other 3 don't have similar machines though. The owner also owns another dealer that sells Polaris and Honda about an hour south. I think their inventory is all linked so if a customer wanted a new Rzr for instance, I'm sure they would bring one to this dealer for them to buy. Can-Am is the only major brand they don't carry. I wouldn't be surprised if in a year or 2 they add them, they are adding on to their main building currently, business must be good.

They did the same thing last year. They found out dealers were sitting on inventory that was in upwards of 5 years old. So they started the plan to become aggressive on their pricing every year to clear out the previous years models.

Jeez, a new TRV 400 $2,995, even if it's a couple years old, that's a bargain. I saw a 2002 AC 400 FIS locally listed for $2,500. I have a friend who's agreed to buy my 2001 AC 500 for $2500. Luckily it's a 100 mile ride to get to an AC dealer.
