Honda Rubicon vs Artic Cat 700 TBX
#2
Here's a little secret. If you buy any TRV Arctic Cat, you can put the box on the rear Speed Rack, or a bunch of other accessories, bingo, you have a workhorse. I bought a 2014 TRV 700 XP with EPS. The power steering is awesome, btw. The 700 Cat has 44hp, that's almost double that of most Hondas, also. The 680 Honda has 38hp, but all others are in the 20 hp range. Most of my friends ride Hondas, including my brother. When I let him drive the 700, he came back after an hour with a giant grin! The long wheel base of the TRV makes it feel super stable. It's really made for 2 - 250 lb big guys to ride. If I ride with another big guy, it still has lots of wheel travel, never bottoms out. Cat has excellent brakes, gobs of torque, very quiet for a single cylinder. After owning a bunch of Cats, I don't see a weakness, motors and CVT's are bulletproof, excellent brakes, frames that don't bend. Off road, they have excellent clearance. I have 27" tires and haven't been able to hit 70 mph like other guys with the 700's , yet. So just saying, TBX can become a TRV, if you remove the box. Speed racks are awesome. Pictures of my 700 TRV gas and Diesel, yup, they made a diesel thru 2016. Those are 30" tires on the diesel.Wife sometimes rides with me for extra weight, warmth when plowing. Arctic Cat rear seats are very comfortable. BTW, I use Rotella T6 oil and Fram oil filters. Almost never go to the dealer.
