Default Artic Cat 500 p0336 code

2015 arctic cat 500 bought it new.
950-975 miles
P0336 code
It is hard to start, wont always idle, sometimes dies when let off the gas or hit the gas hard.

Is p0336 the stator and then the pick up? and if that is the common code/issue where is it located??

The dealer has been behind the clutch assembly twice now to fix a belt problem, the issue did arise after that. They had the clutch and back cover off, they didnt just change the belt they had to tear into the "transmission"

All I can compare, my 05 Dodge Magnum just threw that code at 355,000 miles. It was a crank position sensor. Was very cheap and easy to replace. So your Cat also is EFI, my wild guess would be bad crank position sensor, try ordering 1 from Country Cat. If your dealer isn't smart enough to read a freaking code..... Also, ATV's get used differently from my Dodge, but I'll bet it's the same sensor. Actually , dealer probably roached it.

I actually should have fought the dealer harder and then went to court. They didn’t fix the belt the first time. And long story short they missed a bad part the first time and charged me again and more Labor the 2nd time. For actually doing the same job just changed another part they had In there hand the first time.

Here is a phone number for Cat Consumer Complaints: 218-681-8558. Can't say if you'd get any satisfaction, but now it's Textron, a huge company with a good reputation, maybe, you might get some satisfaction. I guess I've been lucky. In my 66 years, I only had 1 bad dealer experience, a Toyota dealer. I bought a new Tacoma that was lacking timing chain tensioners from the factory. Dealer swore that it sounded "normal" After I paid to tear it down, they still wouldn't warrantee. Yes, left me with a bad taste.
