Default How to replace throttle cable on Arctic cat 300 mikuni carb?

Just got A used 03 arctic cat 300 utility. It has a mikuni diphragmed carb and I can't get a new cable into it. Any ideas how? Any help will be appreciated! I'm new to arctic cat ATVs.

Also I got a cheap replacement, it doesn't work unless you put a rag in the intake, so I want to try to fix the one that came with it first.

I don't want to have to cut the cable, it's brand new. I almost feel like I should cut a slot in the carb for the inner cord to go in. If only it weren't a $300 carb...

You may need an aftermarket cable with a different end type

Yeah, TANKER is correct. The AC 300s came with both Mikuni and KeiHin carbs. The cable for your Mikuni
has a much smaller tip to fit thru that small hole.
