What is this thing?

Ive got a 2020 tracker 300 aka Kymco machine...and it has a flexible rubber ribbed tube sticking out the side of the differential. It feels empty when pressed. Is this a breather tube of some sort ? ?

yes it allows for the expansion of the fluids while keeping water out.. they work well
