Thanks for all the help. Im going to stay with the AC oil until my 6 month warrenty runs out, if i run into any problems AC cant say, it was because the oil that I was using. Thanks again for the help. By the way the Oil filter was very very tight, I had to stab it 4 times with a screw driver for it to turn. The oil filter rachet I have for are cars didnt even work. Where they this tight for anyone else

I'll let you know tomorrow. I just rolled 100 miles on my AC 500 Manual today and plan on changing the oil and filter for the 1st time tomorrow. I sure hope I dont have to stab it 4 times to get it off. Wish me luck!

Well I will agree with you in that they really had the oil filter wrenched on. I guess AC wanted to make absolutely sure in didnt come off. I was able to get it off first time using a pipe wrench. I dont think a strap or filter wrench would of worked as it was on too tight for them to break it loose. I surely wont tighten it back on that much. Thanks for the heads up as you saved me some time from eliminating those methods for removing the filter.

The Quaker State 4x4 oil (synthetic blend))and the Castrol Syntec 4x4 oil have the right specifications for atv use. In a regular oil the Pennzoil Long Life, Rotella, Delo 400 and the Quaker State 15W-40 are all rated Ch-4, CG-4, CF-2, SH,& SJ. For summer riding, these should all work very well.

my first oil change was a real pain. the filter felt like it was on with locktite. i used a 12" slip joint wrench from the left front. had to crush it to get a good grip. i'll never see a reason for a filter to be on that tight.
