Exhaust SILENCER!?
#1
Here's a weird one...
I few weeks ago I purchased a new-to-me ATV (2004 650V-Twin), and it came with a pretty loud after-market exhaust.
I live in a residential area so loading / unloading onto the trailer is a pretty noisy process.
I'm new to the ATV world so I appoligize in advance if this question is absolutely stupid, but is there anything out there that can quiet this thing down, other than getting a whole new exhaust / muffler and having to re-jet!?
Thanks for any advice!

Welcome to the forums.
Chances are, it's just a slip on muffler and you could go back to a stock one to quiet it down. You might be able to find a decent price on a used stock muffler from someone who replaced theirs. Then sell the aftermarket one you have to recoup your money.

Insulation, wrapped with aluminum bug screen and clamped over the exhaust outlet. Been doing it for years for hunting with all our bikes. Not so much that it causes backpressure but enough that it deadens the sound.
