I recently purchased a used 2005 Arctic Cat 500. It has 700 miles currently. Starts easily and runs fine in high gear. However, in low gear it bogs down with just minor throttle. Almost like it’s hitting a rev limiter or safety shutoff. Does anyone have any suggestions about what might cause this. I was wondering if there’s a possibility that the reverse throttle safety switch could be hooked up improperly.

 

Is it EFI Automatic

 

I’m not in front of the machine, but I’m pretty sure it’s a carbureted automatic.
