2003 arctic cat 250 4x4

I have a 2003 arctic cat 250. It will start and idle but if I touch the throttle at all it dies. Wont rev up or anything. I’ve cleaned carb, tank, check to make sure jets were the right size. Still nothing I can’t figure this out. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Was the diaphragm in good shape? No small holes or a little stiff. The ethanol in fuel can make them stiffen up a bit and won't pull up. If you can put your phone in with video on and see if it pulling up, would be an easy way too start.

[fixitup;3478926] the diaphragm was in good shape. I tore the rear plastics off and when through all my electrical plugs. Clean all of them good and put dielectric grease on them. Running better. Took the carb apart and I forgot a O-ring. Replaced the O-ring running good. Oh also my voltage regulator was bad fix and running really good.

I’ve got another question same quad 2003 arctic cat 250 4x4. When I put it in the high side it acts like it’s slipping and bucks/jolts Forward. Are my clutch’s bad or out of adjustment? It’s a really nice four wheeler and I like it a lot. Just don’t know what to do.

I did a little bit of adjustment today seem to help much appreciate it. It also smokes when given throttle. Runs really good always starts first press of the button. But I’d like to narrow the search for smoking as much as possible before I take it apart. The smoke looks white but smell like fuel. With a hint of burning oil?? Any advice on what it could be or what to look for?

If it's white and smells a little sweet your getting coolant in your cylinder. You can run a compression test and then put put a little oil in the plug hole. If compression goes up your rings may be worn and if it stays the same its leaky valves. This is assuming the test results are low.
