750cc Arctic Cat
#1
Hey guys, My family is in the process of possibly opening up an AC dealership in Waco. I have been talking to the AC Rep in Texas for about a month now. I was talking to him today and he was telling me that at the AC show in Florida they will unveil a new 4 stroke 750cc Arctic Cat. He said there was alot of talk about it at the snowmobile show since they have a 750 sled and that they will put it in a four wheeler. How about that!

If anything it will be a 660. They already have a 4 stroke 660 that they are putting into their 2002 sleds.
On another point. I believe that there is a little known Federal Regulation or Law that states to be considered an ATV it must be 700cc or less. Anything over that magic number is to be considered either an OHV or an Automobile. If it is such it must have seat belts and all the other safety paraphenalia that goes along with such a designation.

cats, sled is a 660 but it has EFI, Cats Efi system for those if you that dont know there sleds is pretty trick. on ther Hi performance sleds they have a batteryless setup. You pull it over once it charges up the system and then the second or third pull its starts. As far as the engine goes, I guess its great, from what I heard its an older engine that that suzuki has been using over seas for years. It suppose to have a big aftermarket over seas. But that is just here say. So I dont know if that is true or not.

What I think we will see is a new 400. I think if you look at what the new kodiak has done for yamaha. The reason i think that is if you look at suzuki press releases they state a new 400 will be out. Usually suzuki and cat go hand and hand. I think a sporty new 400 4X4 would be great in the line up. I think the 500 will be left alone, there main intent for these quads is work and I dont really see how you could improve on them, except for some refinement(better lights, plastic). I know i would love to see a quicker 4x4 to go agianst the kodiak and wolverine. I would really love to see Ac bring something out to compete agianst the 4X4 scramblers.

zrt1000,
In the early 90's the 700 was put in various sleds. It was dropped for a
couple of years in '96-'98 and reintroduced in the Powder Specials. They
made the 700ZR and 700 Powder Special for '99 and '00 and then dropped it.
The 800 case reed twin replaced the 700.
