I have a 2001 AC500 Manual and the Fram PH6018 OIl Filter works just fine.....I have been using it for 250 miles.

 

I have a 2001 500 auto and the Fram filter worked fine on mine. I had a heck of a time getting the one from the factory off, but the new filter screwed right on. I haven't had any problems as far as I can tell.

Did you guys buy the one for the motorcycles? I think it has a picture of a sport bike on the front. I used the regular car filter and it wouldn't thread properly. I'm curious so help me out on this one. I'd love to pay $4 opposed to the $12 at the dealer. Thanks.

 

Yes....it is the one with the motorcycle on it. It actually looks much like the AC filters do.
