JKB: I haven't been to G.E. sales and service, and i was wondering if they have a show room and selesction. i can't seem to find an AC dealer that has quads in stock to look at like Pro Cycle does, for example. Hey i didn't know there were this many people on here from Halifax. Actually i am from Sackville but Halifax was the closest i could get.

<< ...I rode a friends 450 the other day, and it felt like it was harder to turn than my AC with 27" tires on. The seat was also like sitting on a rock. >>
Isn't that the truth. The pre-2002 450 Honda models lend new meaning to the tune "Like a Rock". The new differential and 2wd will ease up the steering somewhat, but that suspension is stiff. Anything over 20 mph is work.
Suprisingly it is very similar to the Rubicon set-up which nobody complains about. Why is that? Are Rubicon owners too proud to admit that their Rubicons are beating them to death? Just my humble observation. Others may differ in opinion.

Hey Toby01, when I called Corbetts they were not even close to the prices I got from G. E. Johnson Sales. Johnson Sales sold me my 2000 400 4x4 c/w winch for $6900.00. The 300 4x4 was $6000.00 and the 500 4x4 Manual shift was 7700.00 the 300 and 500 prices did not include the winch.

Well I know in April they were selling ac300 4x4 $5800 and the ac 500 for$7099 without winch and that was better than all the rest then, I have not priced one lately because as hard as it was and is I been holding out until this fall when all the manufacturers have their new 02 models out, all I can say that it will be a buyers market with all the upgraded new models to choose from, I`ll be glad to have the the new ac specs and pics to look at. The new cats should be impressive !!!

Thor:
I agree with you about the Ruby. I've had back problems in the past-broke my T10, T11 vertebrae pretty bad a few years ago, then after riding buckin' horses rodeo'n and a couple car wrecks-well, lets just say my back ain't what it used to be. I got to ride with a Ruby a month or so ago now, we switched in the middle of the ride for about a half hour or so and DAMN my back was killing me! I wanted my 'Cat back immediately but the funny thing was, HE DIDN'T WANT TO GIVE IT BACK!
I won't be getting rid of my 'Cat any time soon, but still, as fierce as the competition is becoming these days, I'm anxious to see what 'Cat has to offer this year. I agree with Andy, that new Grizzly sure looks like a good machine. I'm affraid that if all Polaris has to offer is a 20cc larger engine, they just very well might loose the title to Yammy this year. And, even with the 2/4wd on the new 450, they'd better do some serious suspension work, among other things, to get anybody interested in the Honda lineup. Reliability used to be a very important factor and quality. In today's age, I'm affraid even that is slipping...
Best of luck, and Happy Trails!

That's hilarious and true
Nobody with back problems drives a Honda. The 2wd/4wd is a step in the right direction to ease the steering and shoulder strain but it is only the beginning of what is needed.
I'm affraid that if all Polaris has to offer is a 180cc larger engine, they just very well might yield to Yamaha this year
I really think you are right. If the Grizzly has all of the best features and weighs 100 lbs less there is going to be an exodus.
