Tested a 2002 AC500a today
#1
I dropped by my local AC dealer today and took a new 02 AC500 auto out for a spin.
I don't currently own an AC, but I have been looking at them for awhile and tested a 01 500A a couple times.
The 02 looks great (I think), the suspension (ACT)is great as ever and the steering is a little lighter. Price remains great and I think the AC offers the best value among the 500cc quads.
The front plastic is improved (IMO), but I'm not sure about the rear plastic. The rear mud flaps are now part of the rear plastic and not the "break-away" style of previous years.
Again, the price is excellent on these quads. I can get two 02 AC500 autos + 10' triton aluminum trailer (two quad) for $500 CDN less than I can get a Honda 450ES & Honda 350ES (no trailer). Amazing.
Another thing I like about AC is the dealer. This dealer is the only one that I have found that will actually let you test drive a quad. None of the other dealers (Honda, Kawi, Polaris, Yami) that I have been to will allow test drives.
Cheers,
