Well a week or so ago I posted something about a loose gear in the tranny causing a clunking noise, and today I found out exactly what it was. There is a cover in behind the after clutch (you cant see it unless you remove both clutchs and take off the housing behind the clutch's) this cover is held on by three bolts, and all three loosened up on me. This caused excess play in a shaft, destroying a bearing. I guess from what the service manager told me there was bearing fragments all through my transmission. The day this happened I contacted AC and they told me even though the machine was off warrnty by 10 days they would cover it. The dealership told AC what had happened and AC is sending up a new motor and tranny. I must say that I am very impressed with how AC handled this situation.
