Arctic Cat Sport or High Performance?

If AC does come out with one, what do you think it will be cc wise. Do you think it will be the same engine as the new Suzuki, but with a different chassis? I think they will probably do that if they come out with one.

Are you talking about the new 4-stroke snowmobile? That's a 3-cylinder car motor from Japan. In the snowmobile it's rather gutless, but of course that's comparing it to other snowmobile motors which typically pump out over 100hp. I guess with a bit of work it could pump out enough power for a sport quad, but I don't think an inline triple is going to be the best choice. If Arctic Cat has their choice of suzuki motors they should take that sweet 650 V-twin. THAT would make a nice quad!

I've no idea what they will do for an engine, but the one thing I am certain of is that if they do come out with a sport quad, they will take it very seriously.
When they jumped into the utility market, they made sure they made a serious, reliable, and dedicated machine. I won't enter into an argument that they make the BEST untilites on the market, but I think few would argue that they are one of the top pure untilities made. I would expect no less then serious dedication to a sport machine.
My guess is that they will enter at the 400cc level, or wherever MOST of the sales occur (I don't follow sports machines that much.)

The new 3 cylinder motor produces 48hp, now that is a lot more than the raptor. But it is too big and heavy for a sport quad, and I don't think it has enough power for a 3 cylinder. Now I'm sure it can easily be modded for more power, Its probably been tuned down a bit. Now I agree that the motor will probably be a 400 and follow suzuki, but I think it's time to produce a motor of their own for a quad. With some awesome power, you know they can do it.
