I have read alot of positive feedback on Cowboys spring spacers. Has anyone installed them on a 2002 AC 500? How does the suspension compare on the 2000/2001 to the 2002.The 2002 seems to be softer. Will the spaces give you more ground clearance on the 2002. Will it increase the CV angle? How about body roll? Thanks

I had the spacers on my 01a, but I didn't think they were needed on my 02. The body roll doesn't seem to be as bad on the newer models. This could be because of the angle of the shocks. The fronts seem to lean in at the top, this is just an idea. I wouldn't want to put a lift on the front either. I think the cv joints are at a steep enough angle stock. A lift would make it even more of an angle. The cv joints are of a real heavy duty design and big. I don't think you could tear them up with normal use.
The suspension is softer on the 02 also. Someone may have a different opinion than me on the body roll but I don't think it is a problem on the new quads.

The body roll feels like it is more of a problem on the 2002s than any other Arctic Cat I have ridden. Maybe I have not rode a fully stock one enough to jog my memory, but it seems to me that the 2002s have more body roll and that they would benfit greatly from the spring spacers.

I tried Boner's trick of putting the grey pvc things( the ones around the shock inside the spring) under the washer instead of on top. It greatly improved cornering with a very noticable effect when it came to decreasing body roll. The front shocks however seem to be reaching the top of their travel and "banging"as they are fully extended. I think this weekend I will try about 1/2 inch in front with some metal washers and leave the pvc spacers the way they are in the back. Oh ya, I did this mod on a 2002 375.
