I saw an ad in the paper this weekend for a '99 AC 500 for $2500. Am I wrong or would I be crazy not to check that out? It must be in terrible shape. Does anyone know where I can get a spec. sheet on the '99 500? I don't think the '99 has the 2X, 4X option does it? What do ya'll think? I may have to break my little 3 yrs old girls piggy bank...she's been saying she wants a RED 4-wheeler. But I don't know what color it is. As long as its mechanically sound,it would seem to be a deal.If the plastic is broken, you can make it red with new plastic.as for the 2wd/4wd option, I believe the first year for this is the 02's for the big cats.

Kelly Blue Book value (retail) is $5080. I guess you need to look at it, make sure it's complete and runs, no bent frame, etc. Sometimes people sell things without knowing what they're worth. Or maybe the guy's laid off, and needs the money.

Make sure it has a valid title.

$5080 my you know what. They are only going for around $3300-3500 around here. So, $2500 is a great deal.

The 1999 Model didn't have the 2wd option, but it did have 26x10.5 Titians all around. I think it was the first one in the Arctic Cat line to have Start-in-Gear also. It has a softer seat than the older models. IT doesn't have a readdly avalible fuel petcock (it's near the cyclinderhead under the gas tank) but is otherwise very simular to the 2001 models.

I'm fixing to order some Red plastic for my 99 Cat. But I'm gonna go with the 2wd plastic so my cat will look alittle bigger. If you want, I can try and get you a price on the cost of replacement red plastic for you.

Hey, Boner, I didn't write the Blue Book, only report what I see. I realize that's high, and so do we all. The low book is $3500 which is closer to a fair price if it's in good shape.

Boo Hoo, I called Monday and it had sold Saturday. It was used on a dairy farm so it probably had several miles on it, but it sounded like it was in good condition overall. They had two AC's, they replace every couple of years, I guess the'll be buying another one. the one they still have is only a year old. No problems, they use to run honda and decided to give the AC a try, and like 'em. Oh well, that want happen again, I now have the classified section of the paper on my favorites, so I can check it regularly. Thanks for all the comments, sorry so late getting back to ya'll.
