Howdy fellers,

I was wonderin' if any of ya knew if AC had any deals on financing an ATV? I know Polaris has 0% financing, no payments, zero down until 03/01/02. Honda & Yamadog have the low interest, low payment things. Thanks fer the help

I'm looking at an ad from my dealer in the newspaper right now and there is no 0% financing, in fact it has an APR of 13.95% for 60 months. I've found that these 0% financing deals are usually for 36 months. If you guys are interested in prices for 2002, He has them listed.

250 4x4 $4200
300 4x4 $4599
375 4x4 auto $4875
400 4x4 $4950
500 4x4 $5675
500 4x4 auto $5825

His base price on his 4x4 auto is cheaper than his base price on a 4x4 man. last year which was $5850 in August of 2000. Yes I paid that price!

I just got a 2001 300 and I got 7.9 percent over 48 months from my local bank. I thought that was a pretty good rate.

I called my credit card company to find that they are running a %3.9 APR on all balance transfers. You know those checks your credit card company always sends you? They also classify that as a balance transfer.

You may try calling your credit card company like I did and ask about specials on balance transfers. They will probably cut you a check for the amount you need if you have decent credit.

Just my 2 cents

BTW, AC has a horrible interest rate if you finance through AC. Up around 13.9 I think..

UPDATE

Just for giggles, I called my other credit card company. Chase Manhattan (I dont mean to sounds like an ad here). They are offering 1.9% for 12 months to anyone!. All you have to do is call their "apply by phone" department and sign up. They'll cut you a check for the amount you are approved for and there you have it! The way I use a deal like that is, run it for the whole year at a basically free interest rate, then about a month before it runs out (if I don't have it paid off) I "balance transfer" to another introductory offer. You will always beat the bank with this method. The ONLY thing it requres is a decent income and EXCELLENT credit. last thing, DO NOT put anything else on the card beside your balance transfer or your interest rate will effectively go up. That's they way they screw ya with out you knowing it. Use the card for your new 'Cat and when you're done, cancel it.

I used credit card low introductory offers to pay off my last vehicle. I got the vehicle down to about $5000 and then transfered the balance from the bank to my new credit card (the one offering the LOW rate). I didn't put anything else on the card except my vehicle and once the offer ran out I transferred to another offer. Most of us get decent offers about every other day. I dropped from 8.35% interest at the bank to 0% interest for six months. You wouldn't believe how fast you can pay on loan principle when you have no interest. I ended up paying off the $5000 in about 18 months which made me transfer 3 times to different 6 month deals. I guess it sounds kinda crazy, but it works. It's just interest, and it's no different than a loan you get at the bank, you just gotta know when to switch without incurring anymore interest that you have to.

I guess that was kinda long.. sorry 'bout that.

When I bought my 500i this fall the dealer went through a bank. The banks interest rate is only 8.75%. But the catch is its over a 7 year time period, but you can pay it off anytime you wish without penalty. Thats why I bought the quad now instead of in the spring. I'm not sure how that interest rate translates to the americans but in Canada its pretty low for an ATV.
