I'm getting a Quest 650, or i should say, my dad is gettin a new Quest 650. Anyway he's got 589's on it, so i'm goin to have to get new meats for my Arctic Cat 500 so i can keep up with him! We don't ride in much mud, just some snow and pretty slippery hills. I don't want to go very heavy because of power lose. I've come up with 27": Dirt Devil XT's, Gators, and 589 MT's. Im afraid that the MT's may be too heavy. What are your opinions?? THANKS!!

Any of the 3 would be a good choice. I like the ITP 589s better because they are lighter than the Titans. Bot any of them would be a good choice.

If you ride slippery hills, then the Dirt Devils would be best. If you want to keep up in snow and mud, then Gators, Mud Bugs, or either of the 589's would be best. Gators or Mud Bugs are the best for me. Great in mud, but lighter than 589's. The lugs are spaced further apart on the mud tires, than on Dirt Devils, so the DD's would be best on slippery hills slippery rocks, and for general trail riding.

Hey NYmudder,
I have 27" gators on my 01' AC500 and I love them. How about you? There aren't a whole bunch of people who have the gators that I have talked to. Just wondering if you were as happy with yours as I am with mine.

So far so good. What little mud I've had them in they have been great. I have ridden in deep snow with them and they pulled like heck. Real happy with them. Good ride on hard pack, light, and great in mud/snow!
