Hey everyone, I just got my ITP 589 tire kit and got 27-11-12 rears and 27-9-12 fronts, I thought I was gettig 11's all the way around. Should I stick with these or get the larger tires for up front. The front 9's are as wide as stock 489 tires. Also would I need wheel spacers for the rear if I put 11's in the front. I haven't got a lift kit yet, It doesn't look like I'll need one. Any pro's or con's to that. Thanks for any advice.

You wouldn't need spacers for the rear, I don't know about the front. I never ran a wide tire up front. You won't need a lift kit, but you will need to put some spacers in the front shocks. This will stiffen up the springs, other wise they will rub if you ride aggresively. I've heard good things about the lift kits for the 01 and earlier quads. The combo you now have is good I ran it for a long time.

I would stick with the 9's up front, I had 27x11's all the way around and with the spring spacers in rough going the tires would "rub" the fenders. I don't like the added with of the 11's up front, and have gotten into a few binds when going through narrow woods trails. Aczr2k
