A buddy of mine bought a new AC 250 4x4 and is already having a problem. It seems that when he would get on the gas it would sputter and miss like it was suffocating. He took it to the dealer in North Carolina and they told him nothing was wrong with it? He then took it to another mechanic and they charged him to fix it. The only thing they could find was that it had a valve that was too tight. This is a 2 month old bike and he's not sure if they actually fixed it right. He has written Arctic Cat about this. He should have taken it to another dealer but it seems he should get some satisfaction from AC. Any thoughts on this appreciated...

If you do a search here you may find some more info. But I would make sure his gas tank vent tube and his carburator vent tube is open. Some of the people with their 02 models were saying that the carb vent tube could be pinched and needed to be rerouted and some of the excess plastic cut off where the tube was routed. If that's not it I would look at the jetting if the valves are adjusted right.

Thanks for the info. It usually is something as simplistic as that.
