Hi all, I got the 500i manual with 26” Titans on her Friday afternoon. I now have 100miles on it. I found it totally awesome, the speed was good the power great and the ride good. I found the rear suspension to be really stiff. I put myself and my wife on the quad and it hardly moved at all. Has anyone else found it this stiff? I am assuming it will get softer with time. I also own a 2001 Rubicon so I can compare both. But from what I can see so far I think the Cat will pull my Rubi all over the place. (I will let you know for sure after the break in is complete). I took pics of the Rubi beside the Cat. I cat is a much bigger quad.

Over all, for its first 100 miles, it ran very well, and totally imprested me. It also turns a lot of heads!

Congrats on the new ride! Check your spring adjustment collars. Sounds like they may be set for a stiff ride.

Check the air pressure in your tires, when I got mine home it was at 15psi, I dropped them all down to 4psi and The ride isn't even comparable. Good luck!

I rode a 500i last weekend with 27" Gators. I thought it was very stiff, he had way too much air in the tires for me. I usually run my Gators at about 3-4psi. I still thought that the suspension was overly stiff. I don't know what he had the shocks set at but it was probably stiff. This thing had 14.5" of ground clearance. I will try it again with less air in the tires, this makes a big difference on mine.

Its stiff because it can take a payload, without that stiffness you will have poloris suspension, dragging the quads butt all over the ground. When you ride it, it takes the bumps very very nicely and lets you keep the ground clearence. We should be lucky its a little stiff.
