Hey,
I am considering these two machines. How fast is the 375 and how does it compare to the Kodiak 400 in acceleration. Will it beat a Suzuki Quadrunner 250?

We got a 375 4X4 last tuesday and its been great. The first 100 miles you have to take it easy on everything, but after that you can open it up. It has really good acceleration for its size and weight. 0-40 in probably 4 seconds.

If I understand correctly the Quadrunner 250 (the smaller engine King Quad) then yes the 375 will run away from it. The Kodiak will be way ahead of the 375, due to its lighter weight, sportier rear suspension and engine size difference (401cc vs. 376). I haven't had a chance to read a Kodiak but everything I've read gives it great reviews. The 375 will be slower but much more stable in the rough stuff; also it offers a better 4x4 system (IMHO). After 111 miles my 375 has really loosened up and has surprise a few fellow riders who thought it was a 500. Generally the 375 has had no trouble staying with the Sportsman 500/700s, a Grizzly and other larger quads. It does however lack the high speed handling of the others and some of the raw power. It is also worth saying that we don't go racing along the trails at warp speed, most of the time we are riding well below 20mph so it is far easier keeping up with the pack. There are rumors of the Kodiak becoming a mini-grizzly (IRS, Diff lock, bigger motor) to help confuse things.

I have an 02 Kodiak and think that its a great atv. Its fast, stable and all around fun to drive. I'm not much of a speed demon but know that the Kodiak is fast. If you looking for a fairly light atv then the Kodiak is your ticket. But if you more into the ride quality then you better go with the Cat on that one. Don't get me wrong the Kodiak drives great but with its swing arm system it's not the Cat's ACT system.

That's my info.

P.S 0-40 in 4 seconds seems a little fast for a 600lbs ATV.

What is the top speed. My friends Kodiak goes 51-53 and I thought that is the same top speed with the cat.

My Kodiak is in Km/h. I am able to lay the needle on the pin at 90km/h. The atv still seems like its gaining speed but without the more # on the speedometer I don't know how much more it will give me. I'm guessing probably between 50-55mph.

I don't know the top speed of mine but it has been up to 40mph and seemed like there was a little more there. I've seen posting of 50 or 55mph. Not really sure how accurate these are, although I personally wouldn't want to go that fast because of the 375's boll roll. It really is not a high speed/ fast trail machine.

The 375 is an awesome machine. We got ours last tuesday and it has 111 miles on it now. The Duramatic has loosened up a lot, the engine doesn't have to rap as hard to get it moving. When it does it doesn't take much of a nudge of the throttle to get it going faster. We're getting use to the ride, its more plush and it leans more than our AC 300 did. It has a lot more power and accelertion. The suspension travel is awesome.

The Kodiak is more sporty but I dont think its going to " RUn all over the AC". DIrt WHeels said it had a pretty snappy mid range and top end. Im sure it could beat other machines in its class.

Judging by all the top speed & accel talk I'd say your looking at the wrong machines, try a Yam Warrier or Wolverine.
