JW 615,
Most of the AC Dealers I've been to are pricing them anywhere from $4300 - $4800 (not including tax). In almost every one of those cases, they are "applying the AC promotion" to that price... In otherwords, you don't also get the "spring-fling" accessories, etc. in addition to the $4300 price.
What is drawing you to the 300 4X4? Just curious, I'm interested in one as well...
Have you test ridden the 375 or 400?

Buckweet, I haven't done any riding yet, because I don't have a quad yet. I will be buying my first one later this summer or early fall. I have driven my brother's 660 Grizzly and I really liked it. I plan on buying one of the following: 03 Rubicon, 03 Rincon, 660 Grizzly, or a 650 Quest. I will be using it mostly for snowplowing, leveling our driveway with a leveler drag, pulling a springtooth plow, and occasional trailriding. I have to do some research on places to ride and camp. I am new to the sport, and I am patiently waiting for when I can make my first purchase! I do know that there is a Iron Range off-highway vehicle recreation area at Gilbert, MN. It will open soon near the town of Gilbert in Minnesota's Iron Range. It is a 1200 acre site that was mined until 1981, and it will offer trail conditions as diverse as any in the country they say. A clubhouse will be available year-round for educational activities. Vehicle washing stations are also being constructed on the site. It is a necessity because of the red iron ore soil that needs to be removed quickly from machines and riding gear. Look for a complete story on this new recreation area in an upcoming issue of ATV Magazine. This is supposed to be Minnesota's first OHV recreation area.

Iron dust that needs to be washed off immediately cannot be iron dust. What about the dust that gets on your skin? Do they plan to have a wash station for that too? I think you added a little flame in the picture. A wash station is a nice idea for cleaning before heading to the campsite or home. The problem is collecting all the mud and dirt in one place has to be a chore for the sewage system and those who maintain it. At least, you will be getting your iron on the trail... :0)

Hi 3W615. Regarding the 300 4*4, I have a 2000model. I don't think they have changed much. Here is a list of Strong and Weak points.
Strong Points: very stable, pulls excellent due to 3 transmission ranges, good rack capacity, single lever braking, independent suspension.
Weak Points: prone to backfiring when decelerating, battery is poorly located near right rear wheel, wiring is semi-exposed, no locking or torqe-sensitive front diff.
Some people don't like the rocker shifter either, it works fine once you get used to it. It is a utility quad primarily, not a bike to run miles on an open trail like a bigger automatic.
Hope this helps you.
