spark plugs!!!!!!!

i have a 01 300 4x4, my brother has a 02 400 4x4. we have been told by parts america/ pep boys etc. that there is no cross ref. to original plugs. they are dealer items only. is this true or can you recommend where to get them cheaper??????? THANKS

That doesn't sound right, although I'm not sure. I do know that I was able to buy a replacement spark plug for my old bayou at a NAPA. Try another store.

Well I am not sure what plug goes in your machine, but my 2001 500 takes a NGK CR6E, the new NGK stock number is 6965, I ordered mine through NAPA, they had it the next day. I also checked with the local Suzuki dealer, they had it but I passed because they were very proud of thier plugs. ($2 more than NAPA). I found that the following site is very helpful for cross referencing the old and new numbers.

Just click on Part Finder button and go from there. I hope you can find the plugs locally.
