Hey guys finally joined in, I got 500I MAN 3months ago and its about
the best riding quad I,ve owned so far,the susp really rocks BUT it
seems alittle under powered on the very bottom end, ex:buried in mud
to top of tires. Even in low range its slow to get those tires going
till the rmp picks up when in real deep mud .I,m thinking its not getting enough air in the intake or jetted to rich, it bogs abit till rmp comes up. Any thoughts on that? or is it just nature of the
beast. Also has anyone had a problem with there starter sol blowing
fuses when you push the start button , mines doing it, took it back to the dealer and he said hes had afew back with that problem, hope
they fix it right and dont just put in another relay.got to go will post back later.

My 98 Quadrunner before my 500i had the exact same problem your describing. The very bottom end sucks. All the power in this motor is in the mid to high RPM ranger. I sure hope the big bore from AC is going to have some wicked bottom end. I've noticed on all the dyno graphs that I have seen Honda, Yamaha, AC, and Suzuki all develop all their power at the higher RPM range. While Kawasaki and Polaris make most of their power at the bottom end of the RPM range. I think Kawasaki has a wicked motor on their hands. I sure hope AC gets it from Suzuki.

AC's definitely are not known for their get up and go! Your posting looks similar to what a lot of people say about the power of an AC. One other thing we hope they will get soon is a front locker and make it an add on for some of their older machines. I would like to have one foy my 400i. The start sol blowing fuses almost sounds like there is a short somewhere in there. Has this been a probelm from the beginning or started recently? If it was more recent I would say a wire has became fraid somewher along the line...

The EIGER proforms really well with the Titans ,i can not tell the
diff from stock tires. I was quite surprised at just how fast that
machine can go , doing power slides and dounuts is just like riding
a Scrambler .As for the low end power on the 500i ,I think a jet kit
and opening the air intake snokel abit with a heat gun ,making it more
round should solve bottem end power. I had a 99 quadrunner and did this
and it had lots of snap, same moter should work .As for the relay pretty
sure its the relay , I put an amp meter in series with the fuse and it drew 24 amps and the relay just buzzed.
