I've been looking at the 2000 Arctic Cat 500 4x4 Automatic, and have found pricing to vary by nearly $500 at different dealers. Does anybody know what the dealer cost is, or what a good price to offer would be? So far, they've been ranging from $5,800-$6,300 for a stock machine, plus tax, winch, plow. They've got the $69 warn winch deal, but saving a few hundred dollars would allow for a nice Moose plow at the same time.

Thanks for the help.

I paid $6,300 for mine in November, but I know prices have dropped some since then. There aren't many AC dealers around here either, so they can just about charge what they want. $5,800 sounds like a good deal.

Look at Arctic Cat's web site, then in the dealer locator find the dealer for Thief River Falls, MN. They have a link to their web site where they list MSRP and out the door prices. I figure if you can get close to the prices they are charging in Theif River Falls, you not doing too bad. Good luck!

You should be able to get them down to $5300-$5400. I just priced the bike here in Canada, so I have converted the price into US dollears. Cdn price $7800.

Thanks for the info, sounds like what they're asking out here. I've mainly been looking in Idaho, and Oregon to beat the tax part. Got a few other places to check here in Washington though, see how they compare. Just don't like the 8% tax rates here.

Overall, are you guys pretty happy with your Cat's? Any major problems at all? I haven't seen very many problems at all on the forum, with the exception of an oil leak, and something about changing a rear bearing. I assume they are holding up pretty well.
