I'm thinking of buying one of these manual shift quads. I've rode the 450 and it seemed to be slow and underpowered going up steep inclines.Does the 500i have more speed and hill climbing power than the 450? Will someone please compare the power difference of the two.

If you get the 500 manual you will not have any trouble with any hills or out running the 450. The 450 is a good quad but it is not a fast quad, neither is the Cat. I suggest you go ride them both and see which one you like the best for your type of riding. To me you get a lot more with the Cat, but that is my opinion and this is the Cat forum.
