A CAT WITH TREE FEET
#1
I WAS riding with popson the weekend did some swamping and after about 4hours of riding through the bush we decided to head home thats when my pops wheel came loose good he was just doing about 10 miles an hour he almost went over the bars .the right lower ball joint fell of i assesed the problem took out 6 feet of WHITE NYLON ROPE put the joint back together soaked the rope in water and proceded to tie the front end back together.believe or not we drove57 miles with it tied up before it fell apart 10 feet from the trailer ijacked it up again tied it up put it on the trailer and came home. another good day of riding.my pops owns a 98 500 ac it has 3200 miles on it. we checked the rest of the front end all ball joint needed to be changed.thats already been done.and ive changed the ones on mine which has 2000 miles on it 99 ac 500 what a diference it mayd in handling . a word of advice check your front ends they are none greaseable but if you pull the rubber boot back on then you can add grease with a needle tip greaser be very careful not to rip the boot and if you decide to change a balljoint or afew keep the better one as a spare and dont forget the white nylon rope when wet it slides on itself very easily and is extremaly strong.can also be used to dry your close after youve been in the swamp.catch yous on the flip side

The same thing happend to me on the WarPony last year luckily I had a spar ball joint with. There is about 6000 miles on her so it was about time to replace them. Also be shure to check your tierod ends. One went out on me when I was about 5 miles into Casto Canion Utah last year I used a U clamp from my aftermarket bumper to clamp it back to the steering colum.
