So check this out... I go out yesterday morning after reading the owners manual, etc. and start checking out the cat. I see a little surface corrosion on the silver color that is on the rear diff that looks like it holds the rear cv boot on. Didn't think much of it, no big deal right. Well I start it up on the trailer, fiddled with the choke and killed it. Hit the starter button again and nuthin... so, I start it with the recoil no prob. Check to make sure it's not operator error, try the button again, nuthin and finely call my dealer. He says check the fuse maybe it got wet. Okay. Fuse is fine so I take it in. Starter okay, relay okay, must be switch. Well the switch is full of corrosion as is the ignition switch! My dealer took a starter button switch off another new quad and it was the same, corroded.Turns out that all the quads here get barged up to Anchorage and then trucked up to the interior. This quad must have been in a torn crate or something and had saltwater sprayed on it. Or it may have sat in Anchorage in the saltwater environment for a while. After checking it out more I noticed some other surface corroision here and there also. I told my dealer that I didn't want that machine and that I wanted one that has no sign at all of any saltwater exposure or corrosion. I am leary of electronics anyway, that's one reason I didn't buy a griz. So, I got my check back and will try again next week. ARRGGG.....

Before all this it took them a week and half to get it put together for me and then I was supposed to get it on wednesday last week and they said no friday at one. Went in and no, not until 3. Then all this problem yseterday. Throughout all this they never called me I had to call them. Now i am thinking about not wanting to deal with this dealer. they are the only cat dealer within 350 miles of me. The only other quad I will consider is the griz but I'm not thrilled with an auto or electric 4by shift and digital dash etc. But, I can get a griz with 2500 warn winch out the door for $40 more than than the 500iman with the 2500. $7109 with reg. doc fee and the winch. I really want the cat but the griz is sounding better all the time. Not to mentionn a different dealer. The dealer told me he would have another one ready for me tommorrow. I figure if he wants my business he will call me back. If he doesn't I will probably buy the griz...

 

Mmmm...wow! Sorry you had so much trouble! Did they give you your money back? All of it? For the price difference, I'd go on and get the Griz too!
