You may remember about 1 1/2 months back I posted a problem with my winch. It was out of the AC warranty so I contacted Warn directly. They told me they warranty the winch for a full year and I just had to ship it to them with a copy of puchase invoice and explaination of the problem. They also gave me a place much closer to me than thier factory as an authorized replair center to lower shipping cost. I sent it out 2 1/2 weeks ago and got it back all fixed yesterday. I only paid shipping one way. They paid return frieght. I am very satisfied with their service. Just passing along the good news. Again just a suggestion check your winch for loose cap screws to avoid my problems. Thanks.

I have my winch apart right now for the same problem. I ordered my parts through my dealer. You are right in stating that you should chech your cap screws to make sure they are tight. I will be putting loctite on them when it goes back together.

Yes' hat's off to Warn. Here is my story. I was helping a buddy move some very large rocks. Had the cat tied to a large tree and was using the winch to move rocks the size of the cat. After a long while the winch started to smoke and it was hot!!! Called the dealer, he said bring it in. He shipped it, and Warn fixed it and shipped it back, no charge! didn't cost me a penny. I bought the cat last Sept. so the bike warranty was up but the winch has a 1 year warranty. Great service from the dealer and great service from Warn.
