I was wondering which tires are better the Dunlop that are on the AC or th at489 titans that is what's on my polaris 325 Mag??? Another quiock ques??? My Polaris doesn't have IRS and when I am on the Farm and have to chase cattle I find you can really use the rear brake peddle to your advantage like skid and bring the backend around for a sharp turn..Can you do this as well on an ATV with IRS????

Well when I purchased my 2002 500i at the beginning of July and I found out quickly that the Dunlop tires just weren't going to do the trick for me at all, in fact I liked the Titan 489s that I had on my 1998 AC 454 which I traded in towards the 500i. I went with the Goodyear Mud Runners which give a lot more traction than even my Titan's did, heck I use 4WD a lot less with these puppies.

The Titan tires suck we has ours for a year and a half and they are Bald so you should get the new titan x/t tires they are 6 ply and are as tough as nails!!!!

I was wondering (I have the Titan 489's) if I were to find a tire that was a little more flat rather than round if that would help eliminate some of the body roll (side). I ride a lot of hills and a fair amount of them are side hills.

The 489s are more curved.

A stiffer side wall should help with that, you could also stiffen the springs up with some spring spacers. Do a search, there is lots of info on them here.

I have hesitated to put spring spacers in because I don't want to lose the ride that I like so much. But thanks for the advice about the sidewalls being stiffer. Kinda what I was thinking too.

Any other thoughts or experiences out there??

If I remember right the 02 have an adjustable shock. So to minimize your body roll you can also adjust your shocks. If not A while back someone was talking about Works Perfomrance or Progressive Suspension coming out with and aftermarket shock.

As for the tires I really like the GBC Dirt Devils. Nice Flat flat tire strong side walls and are good for riding in just about anything from mud and snow to plain old dirt. Although if your wanting to brake slide they tend to get too much traction.
