Does anybody know the top end speed of the new 500I 2003.
I know my maximun speed on my 500I 02 is 53.6 MPH on the GPS, i will be taking the 03 out on thursday my dealer was good enough to lend me one for the day. I will let you guy know the real speed but i dont expect a big difference.

I had my 500i with the outlaws on going about 48 mph on the speedo, taking in the tire size increase probably around 50 mph. But it was screaming to let me stop! That motor never worked so hard before, I hate doing that to my motor. But I couldn't let a Honda 350 beat me!

a rancher goes a little over 51mph. are you talking about the old trx 350??

i'd also like to hear about the power increase on the new '03 AC500 motor. they are out around here, those lime green ones with the chrome rims and 589's look sweet!!!

well my cousin let me ride his '00 rancher ES when it was new, and we had it going 82km/h down the road. (51mph) (divide 82 by 1.6 to convert)

The ES had dirt devils on, they were 25 inchers, 1 inch taller than stock so I think his speedo was out some too. Next time we race I'll just grab my Z and put around in 4th and still smoke him, haha. Then I'll lean back and wheelie to victory.

I'm with ya there. I didn't buy the AC for speed, got the Cannondale for that and it's plenty fast.

well i know you didn't buy it for speed, but it is pretty slow for a 500cc quad. not bashing, you guys even admited it. i know a z-400 will race a rancher....if it didn't i'd be calling suzuki for a little chat!

i hope the 03 AC500i is faster too, like the Vinson.

The 03 should have a little more on top.

Speaking of hondas, I got 51 out of a GPS a couple years ago on my 89 Honda 300 2wd. Flat pavement, and it took a long time to get there, but it did it. Sad thing was the 99 AC 500 I had would only do 52-53 tops on the GPS. Didn't take near as long to get there though, and the slightest incline dropped that 300 back into the mid/low 40's real quick. Must be something about how high the engine revs or something.
