I just got the same machine about 3 weeks ago and I was wondering the same thing. The bike is great but seems waaaay down on power.

You'll gain a few more ponies after the engine is broken in.

I've got 80 miles on her now. How long 'till she's broke in? This is the first brand new machine I've ever owned.

I'd say my kitty didn't start coming alive until about 100 miles or so. It depends or how much you vary the throttle, riding style and length of running time. I'd change the oil at 100 miles, and take it out and see where you're at. It's possible that the 376cc doesn't make enough punch for you . Blackmagic should start cranking out goodies...

Hi,
I've only got 50 miles on her.I ask the dealer if there was anything special for break in, He said no just use it. Well, I have the chain noise at the axles and the brakes need bleeding (no brakes til pump up). Thanks for the replies.

Did your machine come jetted for high altitiude? If not, it may be starving for air. One trick is to pull off the top of the airbox to get more air in (if your air filter isn't held in by the lid). If that helps then you probably aren't set up for the altitude. The engine in that machine is the same as in my Eiger, and it is a pretty potent engine for a 400.

Do you have the independent rear suspension? If so, how is the ride? I have been wanting a machine with IRS, but I don't have the $ for any of the big bores.
