Lookin to add a speedometer and an hour meter to the Arctic Cat 375...Anyone add a aftermarket speedo or hourmeter to theirs? Who sells'em and how much? Arctic Cat's prices are high over here.. Any info would be appreciated! Thanks , FlatTire.......

Cat sells an hour meter. Not sure what the privce is, but it is less than $50. For a speedo, I'd get a cheap entry level GPS. The Cat speedo is ~`$100. For that money you can get a basic Garmin eTrex and get a whole lot more than just a speedo. Something to think about........

Gps is the way to go. once you have used and mastered it you will never know how you lived without it. I use etrex legend and I can down load topo maps right off my computer, with the right software. And right now etrex has got 50 rebate on the legend.

Bullets, Your 375 2x4 or 4x4 ? After reading some of the posts here I think I might screwed up when I bought a 2x4. I think it's a great machine and I feel like I know the machines and my own limitations , is a 4x4 that much more the way to go??? I'm not crawling up the Empire State Building but I do plan on giving it a good work out to keep it and myself in shape ! Thanks for the input on the gps... I'm gettin one real soon... Any other 375 2x4 owners out there that would like to talk about their machines??? Let it rip !!
Thanks , FlatTire

Flattire 4wd is nice to have but most of the time I don't need it. Generally most of my riding is on the trails, I'm not a big mud-hound (even though some days it just feels right to get completely covered). It all depends on how you plan on using your machine. My first quad was a '96 Bayou 300 2x4, I bought it brand new due to it's great price (a left over collecting dust until summer of 99) and my lack of ATV knowledge. It turned out to be a good machine but I really wanted to have 4wd, next came the '01 Cat 250 4x4 another good machine but not really what I was craving... Now I own the 375, I'm happy but always day dreaming of bigger/faster/true 4wd. I guess it's like boats you start out with a skiff and work up to a yatch. Enjoy yours for right now and if your needs or wants change consider another machine. Sorry for being long winded .

Thanks TG1 & bullets for the input... bullets, I'm going out today and gonna get the Legend. It looks nice with the $50.00 rebate. I used one before and shouldn't have much problem gettin used to it.
TG1, Thanks! Ya always wonder if ya made the right choice on your first machine.. I think I did! I'm no speed demon anymore. Them days are comming to an end. I had a new 1978 Kawasaki KZ1000Z1A and for it's time it was a monster. It still rests in the garage.. I had a few friends say that I should have a winter project taking the KZ motor and try to fit it in a atv frame.. Is that crazy or what ?? A thought... I think the only problem would be exhaust.... Thanks again guy's.... Talk at ya later... gotta get ready for work...
