This weekend we put 100 miles on the 4wheelers on tug hill what a great time. there was a Honda Forman,Polaris 400,325 Polaris Trailboss,Yammy Timberwolf and last but not lest 375 Artic Cat. No problems with any machines. The 375 proformed great but I was alittle disapointed in the body role on turns (we were going pretty fast) the other machines didn't seem they had to lean as much, but I was also in front of them. My gps registered max. speed of 53mph.On one of the other postings someone was talking about be able to cut some of that body roll down. Any info would be apreciated!

Are the shocks adjustable? If so, the easiest thing to do would be to stifen the shock settings a notch and try the ride. If not, you can make spacers, about 1/4 inch to slip on top of the springs to stiffen them up a bit. Do a search for spring spacers, you should be able to find the info. with that.

Are you still running stock tires? A good aftermarket tire will help the body roll a bunch. On my 02 Cat I put springs not shocks but springs off of a 500i on the rear. It stiffened the ride up a little but just about eliminated body roll. The i springs are a little bigger around than the act springs. I was running 27x12 Gators so I had to use wheel spacers. I had no clearence problems. If you are interested in some springs or spacers let me know I still have them.
On the 01 and earlier Cats we used spring spacers to raise the preload but was warned not to do this on the 02s.

I hope you realize the stiffer you make the rear springs ( less body roll ) the more you lose off road capabilities due to less independent wheel travel!

One thing I forgot to mention is that out of all the machines mine was by far the best ride I was the only one that wasn't sore the next day. So I guess their is something to say about a springy suspention. If I add awider tire or a 6ply as someelse mentioned is that going to change the charateristics of the off road performance?

The dealer called yesterday and said the 03 shocks are now available... Although at this point I'm not sure if I'm going to spend the money for them.

What was your dealer going to charge for the '03 Spring/Shocks?

Don't quote me but it's something like $50 per front shock and $55 per back shock.

I have a 2002 a/c 375 4x4 and I think I am more interested in the engine performance part of anything!! If you are going to spend any money that wiil set you apart of anything in it's class it is not in the suspension!! the cat has it all for this model!! Check out the after market jet kit for the 375 02!! It claims to add 5% hp overall.
Now that will be money well spent!! Availible on rockymountainatv.com

You unlock all the hidden ponies but without a proper handling chassis the new found power will be almost useless. Now that not to say that the 375 has lousy handling but it does require a little fine tuning (either firmer suspension and better tires or both). Of course everyone has their own opinion of the perfect machine.
