Have you tried to adjust the breaks yet? Maybe they're just adjusted too close. Mine makes the same noise sometimes (it's a new machine) and I was wondering if adjusting would help. I haven't tried it yet.

I had a 98 400 2x4 and they sqeaked from the day I got it till the day I got rid of it. (good ridins) no amount of adjustment helped. I even followed AC's break in for the brakes to the letter.

My 98 454 AC's brakes sqeek when riding during dry weather. I'll apply the brakes real hard and at the same time give it power for a couple 100ft and it quits for a while. I think the problem is dust.
Hey Big Cat DRiver what would you charge me for a set of homemade stick stoppers?

not much but the problm is that they only protect the inside CV right now, Since im getting 27" bugs i will have to Redo them when i can see how much room for clearance I have, Better yet when i get them profected I'll post pics and send a pattern to anyone that wants to try them.

My front brakes have been squealing noticably the past month. They seem to be squealing the most from accumulation of dust and mostly at < 10mph. I hose off the rotors and that helps for awhile. My dealer didn't have a remedy, said it was something I had to live with.

Hey guys, you have to take the good with the bad. that noise is coming from the sand, dirt, and grit that the disc brakes are exposed to. the remedy is to have drum brakes which is SUPPOSED to be protected against the elements but, who would want that we all know that the disc brakes hold better and are more reliable.

I will gladly put up with the noise to have my disc brakes.
