What is that noise?
#1
I just bought a new 2000 AC500 Manual Shift and when driving it it sounds like the back tire is rubbing on something but I have looked and its not. Is it just the way that new tires sound? I have tried it on cement and dirt still makes the noise. I cannot hear it all of the time, usually after I have gone above 10mph and on my way slowing down. I have the stock titon tires that come on the 2000 model. Anybody got any ideas..?

This is just a hunch ; I saw this on a Yamaha Kodiak that was brand new about 4 years ago , ride the quad on a level surface and watch your rear wheels, see if they have any wobble on either side. This particular quad came with a bent rim which caused on wheel to make a funny noise like you are describing when riding it. It also had a shake in the rear at high speed on a level surface. We didn,t notice the shake riding because we never rode fast or on smooth ground at that time. But it visibly wobbled when you looked at it . This may be a long shot but don,t rule it out till you look.
