Oh one more thing, after you do lock up the front dif. on your 300 be sure to keep the speed down as it will want to steer straight ahead and will steer VERY heavy, much like a Honda ATV with limited slip does all the time. If you make your new control rod just right you will still be able to shift back into 2wd&4wd unlocked with no problem.

Tick,
There is a mod to lock your 500. The only draw-back is that it is locked for good. I would like a locker but I am not willing to permanently weld my diff. up!! I do have the procedures that I can e-mail you if you're interested. P.M. me your e-ddress and I will try to dig up the info for ya as soon as I can.

Volvoman, I see in your signature you have modified your shifter. What exactly have you done?

My 01 300 4X4 has a hard time down shifting. Another member here on the forum suggested changing the linkage from cable to rods.

Is this what you did? If yes, can you provide me with the part numbers needed to do this mod.

Thanks in advance.

Not that I have heard of, but I am sure with a little time there will be some after-market lockers available.

They have Detroit Gearless Lockers for the Honda and Yami's at HighLifter, but nothing for

the CATS yet.
