Hey vewdew

The lift is made by Moose Utility Division... m.u.d...It was 79.99. You can't order direct from them so if your dealer doesn't carry it you can have them order it through PARTS-UNLIMITED. Or you can find them on-line, try HIGHLIFTER or DENNIS KIRK.

I checked and it seems that none of the Prefered Vendors carry the lifts... "
Thx for the reply, ill look into it. We had an accident the 17th of Jan. I was meaning to rip the bike apart next month anyway. Its got 5 years of mudding and winter driving in Nova Scotia on it. Starting to get a little beat. Going to get all the metal parts sandblasted and repainted. This will just accelerate the process heh.

If you check my link there for my new site there is a link "Damage Done" And pics of his bike under "January 17th". I was in a near head on with a Cat 375. In a snow storm. We were driving side by side and my friend stopped. I kept going, we werent riding fast at this time, maybe 10mph. I decided to turn around to see if he was broke, the 375 had a habbit of stalling on him. When i got turned around on the road all i saw was head lights. He had a passenger that was thrown off and broke his shoulder. I just twisted my ankle. The passenger said he was driving fast to catch up. Bad idea when you cant see. Anyhow he tried to cut hard and smoked me. He ended up in a 4ft ditch full of snow, the bike was on top of him and he was buried in snow. If i had got hurt we would have been f%$ked. He couldnt get the bike off him without my help. The 375 was wrote off by the insurance company, my machine has some front end damage. The frame looks fine. Its a good time to strip it and fix all the little things. I have tires/rims and need a lift. When im done it will be bad ***. I cant wait. Its a good bike, the engine is strong and has never let me down except for one wireing harness issue. I know this... the older cats are FAR tougher than the new ones LOL.

Your site looks GREAT!!! You must have changed it since the last time I checked it out.

Bummer about the accident...make sure to post some pics of your restoration...I agree the older machines are a lot tougher!!! Not as many problems either.

I'm glad I went with '00 rather then getting an '01 or '02.

In fact, I've been looking for an older 98, 99, or 00 to buy and nobody is selling 'em.

Hehe fango, there might be a deal right there, with the exchange rate you may get in great! My 500s engine has pulled hard for alot of miles. I know i pulled a guy on his 375 theres 800+pds plus me and a 300 pd passenger theres near 1250 hehe for 15kms hehe. Its never had an engine problem and still has lots of power imho. Ya it will get restored, i am going to get an mbrp exhaust for it as well, when they release it. Was supposed to be last month or early this month. Actually i cant wait to start, i like that as much riding. (well almost lol) The only thing i dont like is the full time 4x4. On a long run ( we will do 100kms one way to get to the camp from here) its quite tiring. But that being said i still get 100kms+ to a tank+res in the right condition. Like the run to the camp, its all old railway beds.

Well I PM'd manmudcat and he didn't respond back, Winnipeg is about 500 miles from me anyway.

It sounds like you run your machine hard...like it's meant to be.

My machine is has about 800 miles on it. All hard miles!! I put the lift on after my first ride. Just needed more clearance. I put the Claws on and it's tough to stop that little tank.

So if you have your machine apart, you must be going through riding withdrawls??!!

You guys have me curious, what are the differences between the new and old A/Cs as far as durability? We have a pair of 300 4x4s that seem to be OK after I got the carb. jetting worked out.
