Default 2nd rear seal

I am not mad because it will be covered by warranty, but this is the second time in 400 miles that the rear seal has leaked on the right side. I think we need some new engineered seals or something. Anyone else have to do this fix twice.

Hi, check and see if there is up and down play on the cv axel the part which goes into the diff. because the bearing could be defected and have too much play causing the seal to go, or you have some gass in between the seal and axel. or like you said , it's just a bad seal.

My dad has a 400i and he had the seal replaced and the dealer said it could end up being just a part of owning a independent

I just drained and replaced the rear diff fluid and noticed it was full of water. The diff vent is sealed so it's getting in somewhere.
