Well rooster guess you will have to get you a polaris or a kawasaki for your big but...hehehe oh well guess you can't have everything anyway it is standard for the temp light and fans to come on when you turn the key on I think the fans run all the time...

Atving, so the temp light thing basically tells you it's working, as does the fan coming on? That's how most machines are, the light goes on telling you it's working.

I own a 98 454. It's a great bike and i've only had minor problems on it that only took about 5 minutes to figure out and another to fix it. Great climber too.

I don't know. That body roll really scares me on the hills, i'm afraid I might flip all the time. And that rocker shifter really sucks. I just can't seem to get used to that stupid thing. Maybe I need to adjust the valves and that might make everything all better.

I just picked up a new green 500 Auto yesterday, my first ATV! I got the Warn winch with it and a Moose snowplow. Plan to use it mostly for getting around my timber and plowing, hopefully do some trail riding now and then.
So far have been impressed with the automatic; quiet, quick throttle response, great engine breaking, etc.

since i'm not familar with cat fill me in, some of you talk about rocker shift, but then someone says something about auto.Do you have a choice, or are these two different machines?Does cat have full 4 wheel or limited slip?

Cob- The Rocker shifter and the auto. are just like any other bikes. Arctic Cat came out with the auto for 2000, but they also still have the manual shift with the rocker shifter. My 454 is a manual since they didn't come out with the auto until the new 2000 line came out. No the AC's don't have the true 4wd like Polaris. Unfortunately. Hopefully someday they will but for now us AC owners will just have to make due.

The 300 4x4 and the 500 automatic both are switchable 2 wheel to 4 wheel drive. On my 500 it's a push-pull lever on the left front fender. Having this option was one of the reasons I went with the automatic over the manual.
Atving - haven't got the plow on yet , the dealer gave me the wrong mount plate for the 500. Haven't had any snow here (Iowa) yet anyway. Later.
