AC 300 2x4 or Kawasaki 300 2x4 Lakota
#1
I'm torn. I love the ride and rack capacity of the AC but the sporty look and pep of the Lakota. I have no particular need, I just want to ride for fun in the foothills, mountains and occasionally at the dunes. I'm going to buy two new machines so I can always take a friend. At 41 I've lost the passion for the wild ride of the 2-stroke racing machines (don't want the injuries) but I still want to ride and have some fun doing it. It's an issue of the reckless youth of my past fighting the sensibility of my age. Anyone want to make a suggestion as to which machine? for me it is a choice between these two, the AC leaning towards the Utility and the Lakota leaning towards the sport. Help! I've got money burning a hole in my pocket.

The Lakota would be much more fun to ride. Unless you just need the utility aspect, I'd get the kawasaki, because it will go anywhere other 2wd bikes will go, and it really looks like a fun bike to ride too. Dunes don't look like the most intriguing place for any AC quad.

I'd have to agree Andy's post. If you just want something fun go with the Lakota. The AC 300 is a utility quad, heavy, not too peppy, wide, long. I have a 2k 300 4x4 and recently bought a Warrior because I needed both utility and sport riding. Let's hope A.C. takes their racing technology to the sport quad arena in a few years!
