I have a slight lag time when I press the throttle and when the big cat starts to move, It is slight but I can notice it. Has any one else had this happen? a oil seal in the engine failed with only 9.5 miles on the new cat. It soaked the belt and started slipping. The dealer fixed the seal and put on a new belt, He said that it was very rare and was just something that happened.I do believe him . I called him today and told him about the slight lag time, he said it wont hurt it and he will look at it when I take it back for the 100 mile oil change, Can any body speculate on this situation?

Hmmm, blown oil seal huh, bummer. I have a new 500 auto too. I have just over 200 miles on mine now, got it in March. I haven't had any problems with mine.
The slight lag sounds like its the clutches need to get up to rpm to work. Mine has a very very slight lag if thats what you want to call it. The clutches don't engage when at idle RPM's. If they did, the machine would want to roll when idleing. I know mine will roll when in gear and choked cause the rpm's are slightly raised, just enough for the clutches to engage. At least thats my theory but I could be wrong! Enjoy your new machine!!!!
