Anyone know what type of plasic is used for atv bodys. I would like to find out for plastic welding purposes...There is a lot of broken plastic in the group I ride with!!! Be nice to weld it up rather than buy new!!!

 

Have you tried using a souldering gun to melt the plastic back together.This will work if there is not to big of a gap in the plastic!

 

I have a hot air plastic welder....I can melt the plastic with the welding gun, but if I knew what type of plastic is used I could buy the proper plastic welding rods. It just makes for a stronger repair. I have used a soldering gun but it makes for a hideous looking mend.
