I'm pretty sure its the red wire with the thin black stripe on it. Check on that though. It comes out of the fuse box in the slot that says "Ignition" I think. I didn't look at it before I made this post, but if you look at the fuse box, it will be labelled for whatever the wires the fuse is for. Find the one labelled "ignition" (or a similar word) and then trace the wire for that slot out of the bottom of the fuse box. I still think its red with black stripe. Follow it out enough to where you have enough length of wire to be able to work with and then cut it. Don't cut it too short in other words. Now, get a wire connector (the straight in-line type work better than regular wire nuts) and run the fuse box end into one end of the connector. Then run both the other end of wire from the ignition and the wire for the winch cylenoid into the other side. Make sure that they go in far enough and crimp it down good with wire pliers. It would also be a good idea to wrap the entire connection with electric tape after you crimp the connector as well. That should do it. If you hear the cylenoid click when you turn the key to the on position, then you know you have it done right. That should do it. I'll check mine tomorrow to see if I said anything incorrect, but I think I have it right, at least for the wiring on the 99 model 500. The wire colors might be different for 2000, but it will still be the wire coming out of the ignition fuse slot. Let me know if you have any other problems, because I've wired two of them so far.
