Anyone know of a good review or shootout comparing the Arctic Cat 400 or 500 with any other bike? Maybe a website? or back issue of a mag? At the very least does anyone know how the Arctic cat 400 or 500 compared with the other bikes out there?

 

i have the march issue of atv action and thay do a shoot out with the 360 prairie eiger 400 magnum 300 kodiak 400 and arctic cat 400 thay said if the cats hi speed handling were beter it might have won the shoot out. I think if thay set the shocks to the stiffest tension it would have handled better and won the shoot out. and the april issue of canadas atv rider did a test on the 500 auto and gave it a good reveiw thay said thay left it outside for a week in -30 weather and hosed it down avery day for 20 mins and on the 8th day chiped the ice off the key hole put the key in turned on the choke and it started right away thay were very impressed. it was a good artical.

 

Did they not compare the 400 polaris in the shootout? High speed handling is not an issue with me at all anyways? How did they say the 400 compared power wise? how about suspsension ride? any help would be appreciated as I am trying to make a ggod buying descision.

 

the only polaris was a 330 magnum and the only thing it won was best price, and thay said unless your budget ruled out anything else thay wouldn't choose it befor the others. the suzuki's 400 eiger won it didn't stomp the competion but made a strong showing in all the big areas. thay also said the arctic cat 400 is a match for any machine in the shoot out. this quad realy shines in rough terrain its suspension is the most plush of the group. and i must say my cat will go anywere those other ones will go and more just by having the ground clearance and thay are an awsom machine in all terrain go for the cat you'll by happy you did. and if you dont buy a arctic cat buy a honda my 2 freinds have a forman 400 and a robicon 500 and thay are a very nice quad. the honda would be my next choice.
